01 Warranty & claims
How do I check my Sentrix warranty?
Go to our warranty checker and enter the phone number and car plate used at installation — no login or paperwork needed. Your coverage, products and expiry dates appear instantly, because your installer registers every Sentrix installation digitally on the day it goes on.
What does the warranty cover?
Manufacturing and material defects: yellowing, bubbling, cracking, peeling and delamination under normal use. It doesn’t cover physical damage from accidents or misuse, damage from improper care (such as abrasive polishing or automatic brush car washes on film), or work done by non-authorised installers.
How do I make a warranty claim?
Bring your car to any authorised Sentrix installer — it doesn’t have to be the one who did the original installation. They inspect the issue and file the claim into our system on your behalf. Sentrix HQ reviews every claim and you’ll be updated on the outcome through your installer.
Is the warranty transferable if I sell my car?
Coverage is registered against the vehicle’s plate together with the owner’s phone number. If you sell the car, ask any authorised installer to update the registered contact to the new owner so the remaining coverage carries over.
What can void my warranty?
Removal or re-installation by a non-authorised party, damage from improper washing or abrasive products, modifications over the protected area (such as a respray over PPF), and physical damage from collisions. Follow our product care guide and you’ll never have an issue.
02 Products
PPF, tint and ceramic coating — what’s the difference?
Paint protection film (PPF) is a thick urethane layer that physically absorbs stone chips and scratches. Window film (tint) controls heat, glare and UV coming through your glass. Ceramic coating is a thin liquid-glass layer that locks in gloss and makes the car easier to keep clean. They protect different surfaces — many owners combine all three.
How dark can my tint legally go in Malaysia?
JPJ rules set minimum visible light transmission (VLT) for the windscreen and front side windows, while rear windows can go darker. Every Sentrix VISION film is available in JPJ-compliant VLT options, and your installer will confirm a legal combination for your car before installation.
Will window film affect my GPS, SmartTAG or phone signal?
No. Sentrix VISION films use nano-ceramic and carbon constructions with no metallised layers, so GPS, toll readers, telco and radio signals pass through unaffected.
How long do the products last?
DEFENDER PPF carries up to a 10-year warranty, VISION films five to seven years depending on the series, and ARMOUR ceramic coating four years with annual inspections. Actual film life often exceeds the warranty period with good care.
03 Installation & aftercare
How long does installation take?
Window tint is usually done within half a day. A full-body PPF wrap takes 3–5 working days for proper panel prep, alignment and curing. Ceramic coating takes 1–2 days including paint correction and controlled curing. Your installer will confirm timing for your vehicle.
Can I wash my car right after installation?
Wait 7 days before the first wash for PPF and ceramic coating, and keep tinted windows up for 3–5 days while the film cures. After that, a gentle hand wash routine is all you need — see our product care guide for the full do’s and don’ts.
Do I need to register my warranty myself?
No — your installer registers it for you at handover, tied to your phone number and car plate. Before you leave the shop, you can verify it live on our warranty checker in under a minute.

How do I become an authorised Sentrix dealer?
Apply through our For Business page or register directly on the dealer portal. Our HQ team reviews every application — once approved, you get dealer pricing, product training, your store on the public installer map and full access to the dealer portal.
What does the dealer portal include?
Digital warranty registration for your customers, warranty claim filing and tracking, and management of your store listings on the installer locator — one login for everything.
Does Sentrix supply tinting for buildings or fleets?
Our current focus is automotive protection through authorised installers. For fleet programmes or commercial enquiries, contact us directly and our team will follow up with options.
