Product care

Keep your armour performing

Sentrix protection is engineered to be low-maintenance, not no-maintenance. A few simple habits keep the finish flawless — and keep your warranty fully intact.

The first 30 days

Fresh install? Start here

  1. 01Day 0

    Installation day

Drive home gently and park under shelter if you can. Slight haze, moisture pockets or micro-bubbles under fresh film are normal — they clear as it cures.

  2. 02Days 1–5

    Curing window

Keep tinted windows fully up for 3–5 days. Don’t wash, wax or polish anything, and skip long stints in heavy rain where possible.

  3. 03Day 7

    First wash

Hand wash only — pH-neutral shampoo, soft mitt, low-pressure rinse. Stay off automatic brush car washes for good on film and coatings.

  4. 04Day 30

    Settle & inspect

Film edges and coating layers are fully set. If anything looks off — lifting, persistent haze, uneven beading — drop by your installer for a free check.

Care by product

Your routine, by system

Paint Protection Film

DEFENDER films are self-healing — most care is about letting the film do its job.

  • Hand wash with a pH-neutral car shampoo and a clean microfiber mitt
  • Keep pressure washers at least 60 cm away and never aim at film edges
  • Remove bird droppings, sap and bug splatter promptly — don’t let them bake in
  • Light swirls? Park in the sun or pour warm water over the panel to self-heal
  • Avoid waxes with dyes or petroleum solvents; use PPF-safe sealants only

Window Film

VISION films need one careful week, then almost nothing from you.

  • Leave windows up for 3–5 days after installation while the adhesive cures
  • Clean with an ammonia-free glass cleaner and a soft microfiber cloth
  • Cure haze and tiny moisture pockets are normal in week one — they evaporate
  • Don’t stick suction mounts, decals or tape onto the film surface
  • Never scrape the film with blades, ice scrapers or abrasive pads

Ceramic Coating

ARMOUR 9H keeps itself clean — maintain it and the beading never quits.

  • Wait 7 days before the first wash while the coating fully cross-links
  • Use the two-bucket hand-wash method with a pH-neutral shampoo
  • Skip automatic brush car washes — brushes mar the coated surface
  • Dry with a plush microfiber towel to prevent water spotting
  • Book an annual inspection with your installer to keep coverage current
