Who we are

Sentrix Auto ("we", "us") supplies paint protection film and window film in Malaysia through a network of authorised installers. We are the data controller for personal data submitted through this website. You can reach us at info@sentrixauto.com or +60 11-2426 0471.

What we collect

We only collect data you or your installer actively provide:

• Warranty registrations — your name, phone number, car registration plate, vehicle description, purchase date and the products installed. These are submitted by the authorised installer who carried out the work.
• Warranty claims — a description of the issue and any photographs or documents uploaded as supporting evidence.
• Enquiries — the name, email address, phone number and message you submit through our contact form.
• Newsletter — your email address, if you choose to subscribe.
• Dealer accounts — business name, contact person, email, phone and store details for authorised merchants using the dealer portal.

We do not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics cookies on this website, and we do not collect payment card details here.

How we use it

• To register, verify and honour product warranties.
• To let you check your own coverage using the public warranty checker.
• To assess and respond to warranty claims.
• To reply to your enquiries and, where relevant, refer you to a nearby authorised installer.
• To operate dealer accounts and support authorised merchants.
• To send newsletters, where you have subscribed. You may unsubscribe at any time.

The public warranty checker

Anyone who knows both the phone number and the car plate used at installation can view that vehicle's coverage. To limit exposure, the checker shows only the coverage details and a partially masked customer name (for example "J*** T***"). It never displays full names, email addresses or contact details, and the details you type to search are used only to match the record — they are not stored.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data. We share it only where necessary to deliver the service:

• The authorised installer who registered your warranty, and Sentrix HQ staff who administer warranties and claims.
• Service providers who operate our infrastructure on our behalf — website hosting and database services, and an email delivery provider used to send notifications. They process data only on our instructions.
• Authorities or advisers where we are required to do so by law.

How long we keep it

Warranty records are kept for the duration of the warranty term plus a reasonable period afterwards, so that coverage can be verified and claims resolved. Enquiries are kept only as long as needed to deal with them. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, passwords are stored using industry-standard hashing, and access to warranty and claim records is restricted to the owning dealer and Sentrix HQ. Uploaded claim documents are access-controlled and are not publicly listable. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

Your rights

Under the PDPA you may request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, limit how we process it, or withdraw consent for optional uses such as marketing. To make a request, email info@sentrixauto.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Cookies

We use only essential cookies — for example, to keep dealers and administrators signed in to the portal. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are set.
